Hostel Facility at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a city in itself. Since more than 5000 students are resident in the 14 hostels provided by the university. A total area of 81,000 square meters is covered by the hostels. All the hostel buildings are located inside the main campus. The hostels are comfortable and provided with all modern facilities. The cold climate of the country does not affect the warm environment of the hostels.
A special body of the student government called “The Supreme Council of the student hostels” is present to resolve any problems occurring to the students living in students hostels. They organize activities and procedures for the settling of students in hostels. In Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hostels and campuses WI-FI network facilities are applied. Along with the hostels, facility for high-grade education and leisure namely beautiful sports center with a gym, sports fields. The hostels are surrounded by educational, welfare, health, shopping, and entertainment services for students. The hostels also consist of private cinema. A net of reading rooms and a powerful library that provides students with the necessary educational literature, an internet café with 300 seats is situated beside the hostel buildings.
